UFC Fight Night: Ankalaev vs Walker 2

UFC Fight Night: Ankalaev vs. Walker 2 aka UFC Vegas 84 airs live from UFC Apex in Las Vegas, NV on Saturday, January 13.

The main event is a five-round light heavyweight rematch between Magomed Ankalaev (17-1-1, 1 NC) and Johnny Walker (21-7, 1 NC) of Brazil. Their first fight last October ended in No Contest after Ankalaev landed an unintentional illegal knee and then doctor deemed Walker unable to continue.

The scheduled co-main event rematch between Matheus Nicolau (19-3-1) of Brazil and Manel Kape (19-6) of Angola has been cancelled. The bout was expected to go ahead at 129.5-pound catchweight, after Kape missed flyweight limit, but then was taken off the card. Nicolau won their first fight in March 2021 by split decision.

In the new co-main event Jim Miller (36-17) of the United States takes on Gabriel Benitez (23-11) of Mexico. The pair squares off at lightweight.

Among other bouts, Ricky Simon (20-4) faces his American-fellow Mario Bautista (13-2) at bantamweight. Plus, Phil Hawes (12-5) of the United States and Brunno Ferreira (10-1) of Brazil battle it out at middleweight.
