Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship announced its return to Bulgaria with BKFC 58 scheduled for Friday, March 22. Headlining the event live from Arena Sofia, Kaloyan Kolev and Toni Markulev battle it out at light heavyweight.
“Our first event in Bulgaria this past November was a massive success with over 8,000 fans in attendance and we are very excited to return to the Arena Sofia on Friday, March 22 with another outstanding bare-knuckle event,” said President of BKFC, David Feldman. “Toni Markulev vs. Kolayan Kolev is a can’t miss main event, which promises fireworks from the first scratch.”
Kaloyan Kolev (1-0 BKFC, 12-1 MMA) made his bare knuckle boxing debut with the win via first-round TKO against Amer Abdulnabi at the promotion’s inaugural event in Bulgaria held last November. In April 2023, Sofia’s 31-year-old stopped Marcos Conrado Jr. in the second round of their MMA fight.
Toni Markulev (11-2 MMA) last fought back in May 2019, when he stopped Andrew Connor in the first round. The Bulgarian MMA fighter makes his BKFC debut.
Other bouts featured on the card are expected to be announced shortly.
