An-all Brazilian women’s flyweight bout, pitting Ariane Lipski against Karine Silva, has been reportedly set for the UFC card on April 27 in Las Vegas. The latter was originally scheduled to fight Lauren Murphy at UFC 299 on March 8. The contest fell off after the division’s former title challenger withdrew due to injury.
No. 11 Ariane Lipski (17-8) won her previous bout last December by submission in the second round against Casey O’Neill and recorded her third win in a row. In July and March 2023, the 29-year-old native of Curitiba, Brazil defeated Melissa Gatto and JJ Aldrich by split decision and UD, respectively.
No. 12 Karine Silva (17-4) is riding an-eight fight winning streak, taking all of those victories inside the distance. Last August, Dourados, Brazil’s 30-year-old defeated Maryna Moroz via first-round guillotine choke. In June the same year, she secured the first-round kneebar submission against Ketlen Souza.
The matchup was first announced by “MMA Hoje” and confirmed by “Ag. Fight” citing sources, ESPN reports.
The promotion is yet to formally make the event date and fight announcement.
